The pilot of a light aircraft was killed after his plane crashed in the Australian state of New South Wales.

Police said today, Tuesday, that emergency services were called to Conabarapran Airport, about 500 kilometers northwest of Sydney, Al-Ain news reported.

The police added that one of the citizens tried to help the pilot and the only passenger, and he got him off the plane and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation until the police and paramedics arrived.

However, the 57-year-old man, who has not yet been identified, died at the scene.
