A young boy is recovering after being attacked by a dog in Jimbei, Queensland.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said the four-year-old boy had suffered serious facial injuries that had forced them to be airlifted to hospital.
In this context, the boy's condition was stable at the time of his transfer, and the type of dogs responsible for the attack is not yet known.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said the matter would be addressed by the Jambi Regional Council.
It should be noted that the attack was accompanied by reports of a separate incident in which a dog allegedly attacked a woman in Froggy Beach, Coolangatta, on the Gold Coast.
But the Gold Coast City Council said it had not yet received a formal complaint.
