Some of the measures included in the government's $8.6 billion package include offsetting the low and middle income tax, and more than 10 million Australians who earn less than $126,000 a year will be affected.
Note that a one-time tax reimbursement of $420 plus $1,080 will apply from 1 July once Australians start filing their tax returns.
Individuals can get a tax break of up to $1,500, and couples can get up to $3,000.
Plus, a fuel tax of 22 cents has also come into effect, saving motorists about $700 over six months.
