Recently, Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna stated that the blockchain industry and NFT are areas that deserve some attention.
As such, the CEO hinted that the luxury sports car manufacturer may continue its crypto-related endeavors in the future.
Ferrari is interested in Blockchain and Web 3.0:
While determining the results for the fourth quarter of 2021 during the latest earnings report, the CEO of Ferrari confirmed that the company will focus on the world of Web 3.0 in the future, commenting on this by saying:
We strengthen our relationship with leading technology partners such as Amazon in Wales to be at the forefront of digital technologies and Web 3.0.
The CEO added that blockchain technology, Web 3.0 and NFT are areas of interest for Ferrari.
He went on to explain:
This can help develop the brand in the future and strengthen its position as a leader in its field.
I think like we said, it’s important to look and see how new technologies can help our brand.
Certainly, digital technologies and Web 3.0 technologies that use blockchain and NFT is an area that could be interesting to us, and it deserves some attention.
The CEO also acknowledged that the cryptocurrency industry is developing at a rapid pace.
He also explained that some of Ferrari’s competitors have already dipped their toes into the crypto space, which means that the horse must do the same to catch up with the competition.
Ferrari and NFT:
Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari made its first steps in the cryptocurrency world at the end of 2021.
At the time, it partnered with Swiss technology company Velas Network AG to create non-fungible codes for its fans.
Digital collectibles will be available for purchase from March 2022 when the next F1 season begins.
