Analytics platform Santiment shared why the cryptocurrency Chainlink gained nearly 17% over the weekend.
The cryptocurrency LINK is currently trading at $18.43 and is ranked 22nd, according to CoinMarketCap.
Chainlink outperforms Ethereum and Bitcoin in terms of development activity:
According to the last tweet posted by Santiment, Chainlink has surpassed the second largest crypto platform, Ethereum, in terms of development activity and this can be seen by the important updates posted on Github that are recently made on a daily basis.

According to a graph shared by Santiment, LINK developers delivered 304 major updates daily.
The chart also shows that LINK development activity was higher not only than that of Ethereum but also that of Bitcoin.
LINK has been one of the most popular cryptocurrencies recently, along with FTX and Shiba Inu cryptocurrency.
Actively many Ethereum whales bought the cryptocurrency LINK in January and at the beginning of February as well.
Currently, the LINK cryptocurrency is down 64.80% from its historic peak of $52.88 reached on May 10, 2021.
