The Moonriver project, a Canary test network for the Moonbeam protocol, reached a milestone this week, by reaching 8 million transactions on the network, becoming Kusama’s pioneer Parachin.

The platform announced on Twitter that it had reached the number of transactions of several million on November 10, making it the largest certified transaction on the Kusama network.

Moonriver is one of Kusama’s many successful brands and has secured the 2022 Parachin slot with over 60 direct integrations, more than 173,000 wallet addresses, and over 2,000 ERC-20 supported coins.

Kusama is Polkadot’s sister network, which rose 15% to a new high after anticipating parachin auctions, allowing developers to register their parachin and seek crowdfunding.

Group discs are a new method of collecting funds from investors with special protection for them, where the funds are locked until achieving the objectives set by the project.

As we noted at the beginning of the article, Moonriver is a canary test network for Moonbeam, which means it is a small version of the original Moonbeam code used to test and implement new features for a subset of volunteer users.

At the time of writing, Moonbeam was ranked second in the list of the top five crowdfunding platforms in Polkadot’s first Parachine Auction.

The project raised more than $1 billion through syndicated loans.
